Chronology of cameras Baby Camera

This box camera, the size of a large matchbox, was manufactured in Japan in the 1940s. The body is made of lightweight wood, covered in black paper. It uses a piece of film held in a cardboard frame in the 3 x 4.5 format as its support.

Baby Camera also offered a folding camera based on the same minimalist principle. These cameras were sold for a few yen, hence their nickname "Yen Cameras."
